Rose: Rose is a kind hearted person who doesn't really seem to care that they are stranded on a desert island. Rose firmly believed that Bernard was alive even when everyone told her that he couldn't possibly survive. She is a woman who is faithful. "There is a fine line between denial and faith. It's much better on my side." as she told Charlie. She just seems like she wants to help people do the right thing. Rose was terminally ill before the crash. Bernard took Rose to Australia after they were married to try to get her healed. The healer told her that he couldn't heal her because the spot on the earth was not the right spot for her. He was going to give Bernard his money back but Rose told him not to and to tell him that he healed her so they could live happily until she died. When she got to the island she was healed. When she told Bernard this they decided that they would never leave the island, even if rescue came. It's almost impossible for anyone not to like Rose.
THE TAILIES-
Ana-Lucia Cortez: Ana is an ex LAPD cop. When they crashed on the island she became the leaders of the Tailies. Ana is the definition of a hard core chick. She was shot in the line of duty when she was pregnant and lost the baby. This caused her to become slightly unstable emotionally. The man who shot her was caught by the police but she made her mother (who was also her boss) set him free. She then tracked him down and shot and killed him. Before she got onto FLight 815 she was in Australia being Christian Shephard's (Jack's father) bodyguard. She was shot by Michael in an attempt to get back Walt.
Eko: Eko was born and raised in Nigeria. His brother was on of the preists in the plane that was filled with Heroin in the jungle. Eko used to be a drug trader that was said to be soul-less. He made his brother sign papers to make him and his partner preists in which his brother told him that to be a preist you must be one in spirit. While they were loading the plane with the smuggled drugs the authorities came. His brother was shot and his partner pulled his brother into the plane and pushed Eko out. When Eko found the plane he burned it. Then when Charlie asked if he was a preist or not he answered yes. Eko is a quiet man who tries to help people make the right descions.
Libby (Elizabeth): Not much is known about Libby. We know that she is a clinical psychologist and that she was in the same psych ward that Hurley was in for a time. Libby tries to help everyone sort out there emotional issues. She helped Claire remember where she had been the two weeks that she had been taken by the Others. Libby met Desmond in a coffee shop and bought him a cup of coffee. When he told her dilema, she gave him her husbands boat who had just recently died. Libby is just a kind hearted person. She and Hurley were "together" but when Michael killed Ana, he also shot Libby. Libby died a few hours later of an overdose of heroin so she wouldn't be in pain.
Bernard: Bernard is Rose's husband. (see Rose's story)
THE OTHERS:
"Henry Gale": We know virtually nothing about "Henry" except that he is an other who Danielle captured. "Henry" is trying (so it would seem) to convince Locke about how bad it is that Jack is "bossing him around." We don't know his real name. All we know is that he took on the persona of Henry Gale from Minnesota who was riding in a hot air balloon across the Pacific and had a girlfriend or wife named Jennifer. We also know that Henry is "him" or the leader of the Others.
Mr. Friendly, Zeke, Tom: Zeke, Mr. Friendly, or his real name Tom, was the man who was on the boat that took Walt. He was also the man that held a gun to Kate's head. Nothing else is known about Zeke though.
Miss Clough, Bee: Not much is known about Bee other than she told Michael that if he didn't let Henry go and bring Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sawyer to the dock he would never see Walt again.
Alex Rousseau: We know little about Alex. What we do know is mostly through Danielle, her mother. Alex was taken by the Others when she was only a baby and was raised by them. Alex was the person that helped Claire escape from the Others when she had been taken. Other than this, we know nothing.
MISC.:
Danielle Rousseau: Danielle was part of a French scientific team. Danielle killed the rest of her team because she believed they got sick. She has been on the island for 16 years and approximately 6 months. Danielle set up nets that are triggered by a doll attached to a string all over the island.
